How often should a rug be professionally cleaned?
Every 12–18 months for most rugs, or every 6–12 months for anything in a hallway, living room or a home with pets. Rugs take a lot more foot traffic than people realise, and grit left in the pile wears the fibres down over time.
How long does a rug take to dry after cleaning?
Most rugs are dry within 2–4 hours. Thicker wool and shaggy rugs can take a little longer. We use high-powered extraction to pull out as much moisture as possible, and we can use air movers to speed things up.
Can you clean wool, Persian and Oriental rugs?
Yes. Natural fibres need a gentler approach than synthetics, so we always test the rug first and adjust the temperature, moisture and products to suit it. If a rug is too delicate or too valuable to clean safely on site, we will tell you rather than risk it.
Will rug cleaning remove pet stains and odours?
In most cases yes. We use specialist enzyme treatments that break down pet urine at the source rather than masking it with fragrance. Older or repeated accidents can leave a faint mark behind, but we will always tell you honestly what to expect before we start.
